Watchtower quotes.

"There are billions of people who do not know Jehovah. Many of them in ignorance practice things that God's Word shows to be wicked. If they persist in this course, they will be among those who perish during the great tribulation."
"During the final period of the “ancient world that perished in the Flood, Noah was a faithful preacher of righteousness. (2 Peter 2:5) In these last days of the present system of things, Jehovahs people are making known Gods righteous standards and are declaring good news about the possibility of surviving into the new world. (2 Peter 3:9-13) Just as Noah and his God-fearing family were preserved in the ark, survival of individuals today depends on their faith and their loyal association with the earthly part of Jehovahs universal organization." Watchtower 2006 May 15 p.22 "Are You Prepared for Survival?" Paragraph 8
"Only Jehovah's Witnesses, those of the anointed remnant and the "great crowd," as a united organization under the protection of the Supreme Organizer, have any Scriptural hope of surviving the impending end of this doomed system dominated by Satan the Devil." Watchtower 1989 Sep. 1 p.19

"Similarly, Jehovah is using only one organization today to accomplish his will. To receive everlasting life in the earthly Paradise we must identify that organization and serve God as part of it." Watchtower 1983 Feb. 15 p.12

"Is it presumptuous of Jehovah's Witnesses to point out that they alone have God's backing? Actually, no more so than when the Israelites in Egypt claimed to have God's backing in spite of the Egyptians' belief, or when the first-century Christians claimed to have God's backing to the exclusion of Jewish religionists." Watchtower 2001 June 1 p.16

Education.

Jehovah's witnesses are instructed to make their preaching work the top priority in their life. Higher education is discouraged because of the futility of planning secular advancement in a world they believe faces ilmenite destruction, as well as fears about succumbing to "worldly thinking" and concerns that advanced educated might lead to a lack of humility.

Not a cross a stake.

Jehovah's witnesses have rejected the idea that Jesus died on a cross, and instead teach that he died on a single wooden stake. They view the cross to be of pagan origins and an object of idol worship.

this video really explains the post before this one. It's a great explanation of the religion and the after life.

144,000

The Heavenly Kingdom took effect in 1914 with the invisible enthronement of Christ as Kin. A little flock or anointed Class of about 135,300 people currently occupies it. All were selected after Christs ascension into heaven at Pentecost (33 AD) and during subsequent centuries. The selection of the full complement of 144,000 was completed in 1935. Some 8'700 are still living on earth. They will spend eternity as a spirit creatures in heaven with God and Christ and will rule over the other Jehovah's witnesses who remain on earth. Those spending eternity on earth are what Jehovah's Witnesses call the Great Crowd or Other Sheep.

Grace vs. Works. (salvation)

Jehovah's witnesses claim that they believe in the grace of God and that one dose not earn salvation by their works. While they give lip service to god's Grace there actions indicate different;y. Consider the policy of making Witness "in good standing" to survive the end times, and to remain in good standing you must follow the rules.

The soul.

Jehovah's witnesses believes that a person is the soul the Bible speak of, and when a person dies nothing lives on, the person is dead and is conscious of nothing. When the time comes for God to resurrect them from the dead He will create a new body for them from His memory.

The trinity

Jehovah's witnesses do not believe in the trinity. Instead they follow a strict monotheism, in which: Jehovah is the Supreme Being. Jesus is the Son of god , a created being. Christ is believed to have originally existed in a pre-human state as the Archangel Michel. he later took human form as a man like any other person, except that he was sinless at birth and remained so throughout his life. They do not believe in the bodily Resurrection of Christ. they believe Christ died and resurrected and a spirt a body less creature that still walks the earth with us, but is invisible.

Blood transfusions

Jehovah's witnesses are not allowed to accept blood transfusion for themselves or there children, believing that this is the same as eating blood and is forbidden the bible. many of Jehovah's witnesses have dies because of this restriction.

Introduction.

The group began in the united states in 1868 and currently has about 4 million members. The purpose of Jehovah's witnesses is to " witness the faith" that is to spread the word of God's kingdom. They carry out this religion by door-to-door evangilizing handing out magazines and brochures about there religion. they reject the trinity and interpret the bible literally in detail. one controversial aspect in their religion is blood transfusions, they believe it is wrong to to take someones blood.
